1. Overview

BanksDeals helps users search community-reported card-linked offer sightings from major bank programs and may recommend credit cards or card programs related to a user's merchant searches or optional saved card product profile. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

BanksDeals is an independent service. We are not a bank, card issuer, payment network, or financial institution.

BanksDeals is designed for the United States market only. We do not target users outside the United States or support non-U.S. bank offer programs.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account information: name, email address, profile details, avatar URL, password hash or third-party authentication data, and login/session information.
Optional card profile information: the card product name or type you select from the BanksDeals catalog, related bank or program, and whether the card product is active in your BanksDeals account. This does not include a full card number, CVV, PIN, or payment credential.
Offer contribution information: merchant names, offer descriptions, offer values, offer types, expiration dates, terms, votes, confirmations, invalid reports, and related metadata.
Screenshot-derived information: if screenshot submission is enabled, we may process uploaded screenshots to extract offer details such as merchant name, offer value, minimum spend, expiration date, card or program name, and terms.
Usage and device information: pages viewed, searches, clicks, referring pages, approximate location from IP address, browser type, device type, log data, cookies, and similar technical information.
Recommendation and attribution information: recommendation impressions, card or offer placements shown, apply-link clicks, outbound referral identifiers, affiliate partner identifiers, page location, and related performance or attribution metadata.

3. Sensitive Information We Do Not Collect or Want

BanksDeals does not collect, request, or need full card numbers, CVV or security codes, PINs, bank usernames, bank passwords, one-time passcodes, account numbers, account balances, Social Security numbers, government IDs, or other highly sensitive financial or identity information. Do not provide that information to BanksDeals.

BanksDeals does not need bank login credentials to provide merchant search, card highlighting, voting, or community offer reporting features.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Operate merchant search, offer pages, saved card product selections, profiles, voting, and submissions.
Highlight offer sightings that may match card products you optionally save.
Suggest cards or card programs that may match a merchant search or offer when those cards are not in your optional saved card product profile.
Moderate, rank, deduplicate, expire, and improve offer data.
Extract structured offer information from screenshots when that feature is used.
Protect the service from spam, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized activity.
Analyze usage, debug issues, improve product features, and measure service performance.
Measure recommendation, advertising, affiliate, and partner performance, including whether users click outbound application links or complete qualifying actions with third parties.
Communicate with you about your account, submissions, policy changes, or support requests.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

5. User-Generated Content

Offer submissions, confirmations, votes, merchant names, offer details, and similar content may be displayed publicly or to other users. Do not submit private information that you do not want shown or used as part of the community offer database.

If screenshot submission is enabled, the submission flow is intended only for offer details, not sensitive personal or financial information. Our preferred approach is to store extracted structured offer fields rather than raw screenshots. If we retain raw screenshots for moderation, auditability, or product improvement, we will aim to make that clear in the submission flow, and we may reject or delete screenshots that appear to contain sensitive information.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect the service, understand usage, and improve the product. We may use Google Analytics to measure page views and product events such as merchant searches, merchant views, offer views, offer submissions, offer votes, saved card product actions, sign-ins, and admin catalog actions.

Analytics cookies are optional. We do not load Google Analytics unless you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. You can change your analytics cookie choice from the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.

We do not want full card numbers, CVV codes, bank credentials, account numbers, or similar sensitive financial details sent to analytics tools. Analytics events should use product metadata such as page paths, merchant IDs, card catalog IDs, event types, device/browser data, and approximate location derived from technical data.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information:

With service providers that host, secure, analyze, maintain, or support BanksDeals, including analytics providers.
With AI or automation providers when needed to extract or classify offer information.
With affiliate networks, advertisers, banks, card issuers, or attribution providers when you click a paid or tracked card recommendation or application link.
Publicly, when you submit offer data or community content intended for display.
With legal, safety, or enforcement recipients when required by law or needed to protect rights.
As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell full payment card data, bank credentials, or bank account information because we do not want or need that information.

We do not collect or store bank login credentials, full card numbers, CVV codes, PINs, or credit application details submitted on an external issuer or partner website, so we do not share those details with card issuers or affiliate partners. We also do not share your optional saved card product list with issuers or affiliate partners without asking for your explicit permission in a specific feature.

If you click a paid or tracked card recommendation, we may share limited referral and attribution information, such as click identifiers, page placement, referral source, device data, and partner identifiers. If you choose to apply for a card through an external issuer or partner website, the information you submit there is handled by that third party under its own terms and privacy policy.

8. Affiliate Links and Advertising

BanksDeals may later include affiliate links, paid links, card application links, ads, sponsored placements, or other monetized recommendations. If you click those links, the relevant merchant, affiliate network, bank, card issuer, advertiser, or analytics provider may receive information such as click data, referral source, page placement, device data, and attribution identifiers.

Third parties may tell us whether a click, application, approval, opened account, purchase, or other qualifying action occurred so that we can measure performance and receive compensation. We do not control third-party application sites, and you should review their terms and privacy policies before submitting information to them. Paid relationships should be disclosed near the relevant content when they are present.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate BanksDeals, provide the service, maintain offer history, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms. Public offer content may remain visible or stored after an account is closed if it is needed for community history, deduplication, moderation, or analytics.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service is completely secure. You can help by using a strong password, keeping your account secure, and never submitting sensitive bank or full card information.

11. Your Choices

Depending on the features available, you may be able to:

Use merchant search without signing in.
Choose whether to save cards in your account.
Edit or delete saved card product selections.
Update your profile information.
Request deletion or correction of account information by contacting us.
Accept or decline analytics cookies through the cookie banner or footer preference link.
Control cookies through your browser settings.

12. State and Regional Privacy Rights

BanksDeals is intended for users in the United States. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to BanksDeals, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to opt out of certain uses of personal information. To make a request, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

13. Children

BanksDeals is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

14. International Users

BanksDeals is offered for the United States market only and is not intended for users located outside the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States despite this limitation, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. When we update it, we will change the date above. Continued use of BanksDeals after changes means the updated policy applies.
