What is a qualifying online purchase? To make a qualifying online purchase, you must click the button below, and then complete a purchase at the selected merchant’s site, in the window opened by the Capital One Offers tile, within 24 hours. If an offer specifically lists an available coupon on this page, you may use it on the merchant’s site, subject to any coupon-related conditions that we display, but you must do so within 24 hours of activating the offer and during the same open browser session triggered by your offer activation. Use of any other coupons, cash back, or promotional websites after selecting an offer and before making a purchase will invalidate your offer. Use of VPNs and ad blockers may also invalidate your offer. Online purchases made on websites without first being redirected by a Capital One Offers tile are not qualifying online purchases. What is a qualifying in-store or in-app purchase? To make a qualifying in-store purchase, you must click the button below to activate the offer, and then you must use the individual Capital One credit card displayed above to complete a purchase at the selected merchant’s physical store, within the allotted number of days after you activated the offer. The in-store transaction must be completed at the selected merchant’s point-of-sale terminal and the transaction must run through the Visa or Mastercard payment network. Payment must be made using the card’s magnetic strip, chip, tap, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, or Samsung Pay. Manual key entries onto the point of sale terminal or payments made using a Card on File will not be registered as in-store purchases. Some offers specify that purchases must be made in a merchant’s third-party application (i.e., “in-app”). For these offers, to make a qualifying in-app purchase, you must click the button below to activate the offer, and then you must use the individual Capital One credit card displayed above to complete a purchase in the selected merchant’s third-party application, within the allotted number of days after you activated the offer. In-store pick ups, payments made through third-party intermediaries, such as third-party payment processors like Venmo or PayPal, third party order pickup and delivery platforms like DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates, and Grubhub, digital wallets other than Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay, or any other third parties that may manipulate the data that the selected merchant sends to the card payment networks, are not considered qualifying purchases. Online orders placed by customers or employees while inside the store property are not considered qualifying in-store purchases. Purchases at a store that operates under a brand name different from that of the selected merchant may not be considered qualifying in-store purchases. Capital One uses point-of-sale transaction information to determine whether a transaction has occurred at the selected merchant. Capital One does not control and is not responsible for the point-of-sale transaction information supplied by merchants. Individual check out counters, point-of-sale terminals, and/or merchants located within a store may provide different point-of-sale transaction information. This means that sometimes, a transaction may fail to register as a qualifying in-store purchase. How is the payout calculated? The payout for qualifying online purchases is calculated using the subtotal amount of your eligible purchase, which is calculated after any eligible coupons are applied, and excludes taxes, shipping, credits, and other fees. A payout earned through this offer is in addition to any rewards regularly earned with your card. If you return or cancel an otherwise qualifying purchase, you are not eligible for a payout. Payouts for subscription services are only awarded to new customers in their first billing period after the merchant has confirmed your payment has processed. Payouts are not available on trial memberships, unless otherwise stated.
